Our company was founded in 1993 and since then, the market has known us as Supply Chain Consultants.  While our business has always been focused on supply chain planning, our participation in this space has changed over the years. 
We began as an implementation and development partner for various software providers in the advanced planning and scheduling (APS) space.  But we discovered very quickly that the software available did not have the full functionality needed to support integrated planning.  In 1994, we pioneered the integration of Demand Planning and Advanced Planning and Scheduling.  Our focus, though, remained on implementing software to support streamlined business processes.

With globalization, manufacturers and distributers are facing a more complex and more variable supply chains, which can only be managed effectively with advanced software. In order to make software accessible, we launched the Zemeter software suite in 2001. Zemeter was the first fully integrated APS suite developed for the Microsoft platform.

While we differentiated ourselves in the application of software to support operations, we were not purely a software company.  Our goal was to make the benefits of advanced planning tools readily available, removing the burden of proprietary tools that were costly to integrate and difficult to maintain.  Ten years later, we can confidently say that we’ve met that goal, with the adoption of Zemeter tools by Tier-1 global manufacturers including INEOS, Momentive, AkzoNobel, Corning, Anadigics, Sunsweet Growers, Invista, and others.  In the Americas, Europe, Eastern Europe and Asia, Zemeter software tools are used by teams to facilitate a single, shared operations plan that results in measureable financial return to the business.

The success of our software is based on its configurability and its ability to implement and sustain competitive business practices.  Our company has changed so that in 2009, our income was entirely the result of Zemeter software sales and support.  While we are proud of the rich heritage and values embodied in the names Supply Chain Consultants and Zemeter, it’s now appropriate to change our name to represent what we are today – a leading developer of configurable advanced planning and scheduling solutions.  Software that fits your business, your process, and your people.  

We are now Arkieva.  A word that reminds all of us – every day – that our success is based on the achievement of our clients.
